The weekend after the Overstrand Fire Department came to visit our school, this brave young lady and her family witnessed a house fire in Pearly Beach.

Learning all about the very important work community workers do in and for our community!

Last Friday Eduden was treated to an amazing visit by the Overstrand Fire Department! 🔥🔥🔥
We learned all about fire safety, what to do in a fire and the very important number to call. We even got to spray water with the fire hose! 🌊🌊

We'd like sincerely thank head fireman, Tersius Arendse, and his team for taking the time to come and teach our students!

We're learning all about the very important people who work for and in our community!
We had a very informative visit from a local Social Worker at Eduden last week to learn all about the incredible work they do, especially for kids.

At Eduden we place immense value on our kiddos grasping the significance of community.
We firmly believe life is more precious when shared together. That's why we decided to dedicate our Friday this week to spreading kindness throughout our community, especially after the storms that ravaged many towns and families in the WC this week.

Here we are dropping off food for those in need in our community and planting vibrant bulbs along the main road near our school.

Sometimes just a small act of kindness can impart a profound life lesson to a child.

Our Kids Market is just around the corner.
There will be quite a few stalls at the market.
Please join us to support the kiddos that are spending their long weekend crocheting, baking, packing, creating and much more.

Bring along a picnic blanket and come enjoy a lovely relaxing evening in our garden.

Last Friday, our kiddos participated in a beach cleanup event at the Tidal Pool between De Kelders and Gansbaai, in support of the Save A Fishie initiative.
During our one-hour clean up, the Eduden kids played a vital role in collecting 71kg of rubbish along with other Gansbaai locals. We had the opportunity to learn about the importance of maintaining our beaches from the Save A Fishie team and heard from Zoe herself about what inspired her to establish the organization at the age of 16.

The children brought a sense of enthusiasm and enjoyment to the event. Following their hard efforts, we took a break to enjoy snacks and water play at Stanfords Cove.
