Maths and Science Institute (MSI) is a strategic planning project that is designed to create a common purpose and value to enhance the understanding of learners in the new curriculum - National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). Math and Science Institute (MSI) is a programme not aimed at substituting or challenging the day to day running of main-stream classes in school, it is an extra support tool, designed to enhance and add value to the skills already instilled in learners in their respective schools. This programme aims to run parallel with the school curriculum and pace if not faster, this is done to bridge the gap outlined in our report, core subjects such as Mathematics, Physical science and Accounting require more time, practice and attention than is achievable through the normal day to day schooling experience. This programme will follow the prescribed topic alignment and structure of the department of basic education, which will ensure that the learners get extra support on the exact material and content they use and do in schools and more.
