The nature of being a servant is self sacrifice. Being aware of the limits to a healthy sacrifice is part of self love. 🤎

You wouldn’t want to utterly deplete self in the name of caring for others while they also possess the same capacity to care for you and others too. ⛑️

Anything done excessively leads to chaos, so regulate your care for others. Serve with internal order, internal peace, internal strength. 🫱🏿🙏🏿💪🏿

Don’t do things that don’t resonate with your inner world for the sake of being socially accepted.

Having integrity and authenticity doesn’t mean lack of change, but it’s maintaining the essence of who you amidst change.🔷

There’s are questions that sparked by one of the songs by Kanye West called “Good Morning”. Most students in different universities in RSA love it and treat it like a varsity anthem during graduation.

It got me thinking… why go to schoool?

Is it just for getting a job, or learning systems of problem solving to the extent that areas of your life change for the better irrespective of whether you work for someone or not?

How do you improve from mediocrity by what you’ve learned from one of your modules (which, by the way, was well researched)?

Crammed passed and forgotten? Doesn’t graduation already certify your competency?

And does it only end at the workplace? 🤔

—————————————————-

Here’s Kanye’s lyricism on the song “Good Morning”

Some people graduate, but be still stupid.
They tell you read this, eat this, don't look around.
Just peep this, preach this, teach us, Jesus!
Okay look up now, they done stole yo' streetness.
After all of that you received this.👨🏿‍🎓
Good morning!!

Never mind building from scratch. At times it is necessary. It is rather a sign of courage than weakness. 🧱 🦺 🏗️ 🚧

Everything requires its own right energy, get up and patiently build... Life is long enough to correct and rebuild. As much as it is said that life is too short (to get you up your feet), it is never too short not to build from where you are. 🛣️📍
