Applications for the Eskom University and University of Technology

Bursary Programme – now open



We are pleased to announce that applications for the Eskom Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year are now open. This initiative reflects Eskom’s ongoing commitment to developing critical skills and supporting the educational advancement of South Africa’s youth at public universities.



The bursary programme is open to:

External applicants, and
Dependents of Eskom Guardians

The following fields of study are available under the Diploma in Engineering stream:

Diploma in Chemical Engineering
Diploma in Civil Engineering
Diploma in Computer Engineering
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering


The following fields of study are available under the Degree in Engineering stream:

BEng/BSc Chemical Engineering
BEng/BSc Civil Engineering
BEng/BSc Computer Engineering
BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
BEng/BSc Electromechanical /Mechatronics Engineering
BEng/BSc Industrial Engineering
BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering
BEng/BSc Metallurgical Engineering
