Soshanguve Self Help Association of People with Disabilities is situated in the heart of Soshanguve at 1815 Block H near Maluleke Spar which is one of the busiest One Stop for consumers. We are also 800m from TUT North Campus and about 5 km’s from TUT main campus in Soshanguve. We are also 3km away from the main entrance of Soshanguve known as Transfer. A brief history of SOSHAD Centre for People with Disabilities

It was registered as an NPO in 29 June 2001, register number 014-090 NPO . The NPO has always been in existence with the following projects currently running:
1.Day care for disabled kids, 9 in total funded by Department of Social Development.

2.Day care for slow learner’s class, 20 learners aged between 9 to 21 years of age in total.

3.Sewing project and beadwork of approximately 10 disabled children.

4. Hydrophinic Farming, producing fresh vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes, spinach amongst others.

5. Wheel chair repairs, The organisation has a contract with the department of health to repair wheelchairs from Soshanguve Clinics and Dr George Mukhari Hospital. It is the most important of all projects that the organisation is currently sustaining itself on. The challenges that we are facing in the organisation regarding this project are mainly: late payment of invoices by the Provincial DEH.
