Beaumont Primary School Beaumont Primary School is a public, co-educational, school situated at the foot of the Helderberg.

Beaumont Primary School is a co-educational, parallel medium school that caters for learners from Grade R (Afrikaans only) to Grade 7. Situated in the beautiful town of Somerset West (about 50km outside of Cape Town), Beaumont strives to create an environment that brings out the best in each and every child. Beaumont offers an excellent academic programme, coupled with a wide range of co-curricular activities. The learners are afforded the opportunity to develop their full potential within and beyond the confines of the classroom, and the school benefits from a caring, talented team of staff who demonstrate a vibrant sense of community service. Our aim and purpose is to nurture happy, confident children who know the importance of respect, integrity, self discipline, responsibility and service, built on a solid foundation of sound Christian values.

ORANGE RIVER 2026

What an incredible adventure! A group of 54 Grade 7 learners spent an unforgettable few days exploring the beauty of the Orange River.

They were incredibly fortunate to have beautiful weather for most of the trip, but they certainly experienced all the elements! From sunshine and warm days to thunder, lightning and even rowing in the rain, the weather added a little extra excitement to an already unforgettable adventure.

There were plenty of laughs, fast rapids, wild water fights and special moments spent enjoying the magic of being outdoors and together.

A huge thank you to the amazing Amanzi Trails Orange River Adventures team for guiding our learners safely, encouraging them throughout the journey and helping make this such a memorable experience!

πŸš΅β€β™‚οΈ Beaumont MTB Riders take on Nationals! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

The last few days have been filled with grit, determination and perseverance as our Beaumont MTB team competed in the MTB National Tour at Paul Roos High School on the Coetzenberg track β€” a truly world-class event!

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our riders, who gave their all in every race. The challenging climbs, rough downhills, chain problems, scrapes and bruises tested them both physically and mentally β€” but they kept going!

Most importantly, every rider finished and endured to the very end, returning with happy, proud hearts. ❀️

Orange River 2026 πŸŒŠβ˜€οΈ

A week of paddling, dancing, getting soaked, getting sunburnt, surviving rapids, laughing until our stomachs hurt and making memories we’ll be talking about for a very long time.

A massive thank you to our incredible guides from Amanzi Trails for keeping us safe, putting up with all our chaos and making the whole experience even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better crew to take us down the river! 🀍

A few weeks ago, some of our learners took part in a Mountain Biking League race, and we are so proud of their efforts and achievements!

Danielle Strydom finished in 6th position in the Sub-Nipper Girls U/7 category.

Jesse Kruger was recognised for participating in and successfully completing the race in his age category.

Gideon Smith was also recognised for participating in and successfully completing the race in his age category.

Well done to all our riders! We are incredibly proud of you for getting out there, taking on the challenge and giving it your best. You make Beaumont proud!
