Vrede Academy has permanently closed its doors.

It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that Vrede Academy will be closing its doors for good. The decision to close the school was not made lightly, and it marks the end of an era for all of us who have been a part of this vibrant and close-knit community.

As we bid farewell, let's celebrate the countless memories, friendships, and achievements that have defined Vrede Academy.

To our dedicated teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to education and for shaping the lives of generations of students. Your passion and dedication will always be remembered.

To the students, past and present, you are the heart of Vrede Academy. Your curiosity, creativity, and resilience have been the driving force behind the spirit of our school. Carry the lessons you've learned here into the next chapter of your lives, and may your futures be filled with success and fulfilment.

To the parents and families, thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. Your support has been invaluable, and we are grateful for the partnership we've shared.

On Saturday, 11 November 2023, Principal Monica and Teacher Charise took our 2023 Prefects - on a team-building outing to the Ceramic Café on the R44 between Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Everyone loved spending some time painting their chosen ceramic items, chatting, enjoying some refreshments, laughing and just being creative in a tranquil environment.
