π€ Parent-Teacher Conference | Together for Every Learner π
Last night, Somerset West Private School had the privilege of welcoming our parents and guardians to our Parent-Teacher Conference.
The evening provided a valuable opportunity for meaningful conversations between parents and educators as we reflected on learners' progress, celebrated achievements, and discussed ways to continue supporting every child academically and personally. These partnerships between home and school are essential in helping our learners reach their full potential.
We also hope our parents enjoyed the warm hospitality on the evening, with warm soup, delicious bread, coffee, and tea available to enjoy while visiting the school. It was wonderful to create a welcoming space where families and staff could connect.
A heartfelt thank you to all our parents for taking the time to attend and to our dedicated staff for their commitment and care. Your partnership and support make a lasting difference in the lives of our learners.

π Investing in Our Learners' Future! π
Our Grade 9 learners recently had the opportunity to participate in a Subject Choice Psychometric Assessment presented by Mari O'Reilly, a Counselling Psychologist from Stellenbosch University.
The assessment explored each learner's aptitudes, interests, and personality, providing valuable insight to help them make informed subject choices as they prepare for the FET Phase (Grades 10β12). Each participating learner will also receive an individual online feedback session with their parent(s)/guardian(s), together with a comprehensive report containing personalised recommendations.
Choosing the right subjects is an important step towards future career opportunities, and we are proud to offer our learners access to professional guidance that empowers them to make confident, informed decisions.
A heartfelt thank you to Mari O'Reilly and Stellenbosch University for partnering with Somerset West Private School to support our learners on this exciting journey toward their future success. π±πβ¨
