We are so excited to start our Einsteinhands classes on NetKids! Moms with children beween 3 & 5 years, Netkids will educate your child in the comfort of your own home!!

“I dont know how many thank you’s or success stories you receive but I would love to share our story with you with a great big thank you.

I started signing with my then 4 month old son - just googling random signs as we came across items - just beacuse i heard that its really good for brain development. At 11 months old we stood outside and out of now where he pointed and showed me a bird - the sign. I freaked out, the months of signing is working! A week before he turned 13 months, I ordered your box just to add the proper visual ques with the signs.

This is where our story is different. Exactly a week after ordering your box, my son was diagnosed with profound deafness in both ears. Doctors and Audiologists misdiagnosed him for 13 months, I had him tested over and over and I heard diagnoses like him not being sound sensitive or having selective hearing. (With his operation it was established that he was born profoundly deaf beacuse of a gene mutation).

Long story short - withing six weeks he was diagnosed, implanted with bilateral Cochlear implants and switched on. He has been hearing for 3 months now, I counted, he signs 63 signs at this stage (he is 18 months old now) and because of this langauge that he had through all of his deaf months, he is progressing at a pace that is leaving doctors, speech therapists and Audiologists speechless.

After hearing for only 3 months his level of understanding is perfectly on par with his hearing 18 month old peers. And this is just because he already had a language established, all I had to to do was add sound to his signs. I can ask him anything now, just using my voice, no signs and he understand perfectly. He reached his 6 month hearing goal, in less that 6 weeks 😉

The signing is such a blessing especially in our “quiet” hour, he baths without his ears but because of the signs, he knows exactly that we’re going to bath, get dressed, have milk, brush teeth, read books, sing and go to sleep.

So basically just a very big thank you, your signs have made a massive difference in our lives and especially Connor’s life. We are excited to see what the next three months have in stock for him.” Nadia Botes

Little Kayla showing her second sign (ball) at 9months of age! Her sister Nila was a little signing star and knows almost all the signs and she just loves to teach and show her little sister! Kayla is 10months now and she can show 10signs already! It is amazing to see how quickly they pick up words and she especially loves it that I can understand what she is communicating!
