Life at Rooha has been wonderfully busy lately! 🌈🚀

It’s a busy term, with **concert practice well underway** and our lead roles working incredibly hard to get ready for the big day. 🎭✨

And of course, there’s plenty of **dressing-up and make-believe along the way** 👑🦸‍♀️🧚‍♂️✨

**Tuckshop Fridays** are always a highlight of the week, and our little ones absolutely love discovering what fun awaits. 😋🍎

And then there are our **sensory tables**! This week was all about colourful buttons — a feast for the senses, little hands and curious minds. 🌈🔴🟡🔵

And what would a perfect day at Rooha be without a delicious lunch prepared with love by our wonderful **Chef Cecilia**? 👩‍🍳❤️

What a wonderful Dress Like Our Grandparents Day! ❤️

Our children had an absolute blast dressing up, learning about the "olden days," and listening to fascinating stories from our special guests. We discovered what old telephones, telephone books, money, and even jewellery looked like. We also learned that cars used to have room for lots of people in the front (and no seatbelts!), televisions were black and white, and believe it or not... there was a time before Google Maps! 🤯📞📺🚗
We even saw and learned about how the police trained their dogs in the olden days, they jumped through fire and walked on ropes in the air.

A special thank you to Eve, Jano, Aleia, and Heindrich's grandparents for sharing your wonderful memories and bringing history to life for our little ones. Your stories made the morning truly unforgettable.

We did have one funny realization, though... our children don't really know what it means to "look old" anymore—these days their grandparents are far too modern! 😄

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a fun-filled morning of laughter, learning, and making precious memories across generations. ❤️

Holiday Fun - Day 2 ✨

Today’s mission: conquer the box crawl! It looked easy, but it was a full-body workout for our little ones.
We strengthened bilateral coordination, core and arm strength, balance, stability, spatial awareness, and problem-solving — all disguised as a race 😄

We also got creative and made our very own tumbling clowns to go with the theme 🤡

Another day of moving, making, and laughing at Rooha 💕

Day 1 of Holiday Care = clown chaos in the best way! 🤡✨

Today we made clown hair by using our lungs to blow and puff, then explored textures in a sensory activity to give our clowns their wild new looks.

Lots of giggles, creativity, and sticky fingers to start the holidays off right 💕

Happy Father's Day to all our amazing Rooha Dads!

This week, our little chefs rolled up their sleeves and got busy creating a very special gift just for you – your very own Braai Spice!

There was lots of mixing, stirring, smelling, and of course... tasting! Some little taste-testers were so impressed with their creations that they may have sneaked an extra taste (or two!) just to make sure it was perfect for Dad. After all, quality control is very important!

We hope this special blend adds a little extra flavour to your next braai and reminds you of the tiny hands, big smiles, and lots of love that went into making it.

Thank you for being the kings of the braai, the masters of the tongs, and the heroes of your little ones.

🌍✈️ Countries of the World ✈️🌍

What an exciting few weeks we have had exploring the wonderful countries of our world!

Our learners discovered different cultures, traditions, foods, and landmarks from across the globe. We were fortunate to have friends and teachers share special items from other countries, giving us a unique glimpse into life around the world. We smelled exotic spices, admired beautiful pictures, and even tasted delicious snacks from different countries.

Our culinary journey was a highlight of the theme! For lunch, we enjoyed special dishes from around the world, including Peposo from Italy 🇮🇹, corn dogs from America 🇺🇸, Gołąbki from Poland 🇵🇱, and Swedish meatballs from Sweden 🇸🇪, just to name a few.

To bring our adventure to a close, our creative learners designed and made their very own African masks, celebrating the rich cultures of our beautiful continent. 🎨🦁🌍

Learning about the world has shown us that while we may come from different places, we are all connected through friendship, curiosity, and kindness.

What a wonderful journey around the world it has been! ❤️
