What is the highest common factor
=HCF
Factors of 4 ={1,2,4}
Factors of 6={1,2,3,6}
HCF=2

So 2 is the biggest number that can into divide 4 and 6

Rules
1.a²÷a⁴=a²–⁴
2.a²×a⁴=a²+⁴
3.(a²)⁴=a² ⁴
4.(a0)=1

Multiplying powers
Power= an expression to show that a number is multiplied by it'self a number of times for example 3⁴ is a power where the base 3 is multiplied 5 times

When multiplying powers with the same base ,keep the base the same and add the exponents

Finding any missing side in a Right -Angled Triangle

Our triangle is ABC
Then AB?,AC=25,BC=24
Then we say
r²=x²+y²
25²=24²+ײ
626=576+ײ
x²=626--576
x²=49(put a square root)
x²=7
Remember AC is the hypotenuse

Checking for right-angled triangle

Our triangle is angle ABC
Then AB=14,AC=12,BC=7

After that we check for the longest side and our longest side is AB=14

(Longest side)²=14²=196
=7cm²+12cm²
=49+144
=193
The triangle is not right-angled

Triangle ABC AB=20cm,AC=13cm andBC=10cm
