🐾 FREE RABIES VACCINATION DAY FOR DOGS & CATS! 🐶🐱

Woodcrest Academy is proud to be hosting a FREE Rabies Vaccination Day in partnership with EDAHW (Ethekwini District Animal Health & Welfare).

📅 Date: Saturday, 29 August 2026
🕤 Time: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Venue: Woodcrest Academy, 3 Msinsi Road, Sezela

This event is open to all members of our community. Help protect your pets, your family, and our community by ensuring your dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies.

🎁 Bonus! Every pet vaccinated will receive an entry into our lucky draw.

Additional affordable services, including deworming, flea and tick treatments.

The Woodcrest Academy Polar Bear Swim is almost here, and we dare you to take the plunge!

Join us for an evening of icy fun, laughter, music, and community spirit as participants of all ages brave the cold for a great cause. Whether you're taking one dip or several, it's all about making memories while helping us raise funds for our exciting new heated swimming pool.

💙 Entry Fees:
• R20 per dip when booked in advance
• R30 per dip on the evening

🌟 What an incredible Preschool Careers Day! 🌟

Our little learners amazed us with their enthusiasm as they dressed up as their dream careers. We welcomed caring nurses, brave police officers and firefighters, hardworking farmers, talented pop stars, creative YouTubers, compassionate vets, and amazing chefs.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents for helping bring the children's dreams to life. Seeing their confidence, excitement, and imagination was truly heartwarming. We are so proud of each and every one of them! 💙✨

Who knows? We may have met some of South Africa's future heroes today! 👩‍⚕️👨‍🚒👮‍♀️👩‍🌾👩‍🍳🎤📹🐾

Woodcrest Academy learners enjoyed an exciting and educational visit from Gladiator Emergency Services today. They brought along their fire trucks, rescue vehicles and paramedic equipment to give the children a real-life look at how emergency teams keep our community safe. 🚒🚑

The learners watched a demonstration of the “Jaws of Life”, learned about emergency medical equipment used in resuscitation, tried on a real firefighter’s outfit, climbed onto the fire truck and even saw how paramedics monitor a patient’s heart rate on a modern stretcher.

The interactive presentation gave the children a fascinating insight into the work of first responders and the skills required to save lives in emergencies.

Experiences like these form an important part of Woodcrest Academy’s approach to education—bringing real-world learning into the classroom and helping learners understand the people and services that keep their community safe.

A sincere thank you to Gladiator for their professionalism, kindness and for taking the time to give our learners such an engaging and memorable experience while showing them how they help keep our town safe. 👏

What a SWEET way to celebrate Valentine’s Day! 🍰🎉

This year, our Foundation Phase learners proudly hosted an unforgettable Cake Sale and Fun Day for the rest of the school - and what a celebration it was! From delicious treats to fun-fair style games, the day was bursting with colour, laughter, and excitement. With everyone dressed in bright civvies, the atmosphere was vibrant and full of joy.

More than just a day of fun, it was a beautiful celebration of community, friendship, and togetherness. It was wonderful to see learners supporting one another, sharing in the excitement, and creating happy memories across all grades.

A big well done to our Foundation Phase for showing such initiative and heart - you truly made the day special for everyone! 💕
