πβ¨ A gentle note to all parents and guardiansβ¨π
Please consider bringing your children for extra lessons early enough in the year. Academic progress is something that needs time, patience, and consistent effort. When a learner is only brought for tutoring just before exams, it becomes very difficult to expect a dramatic improvement β for example, moving from 20% to 70% in only a few short sessions.
This is not about money or filling up lesson slots. It comes from a genuine place of wanting your children to succeed. Learning is a process of nurturing understanding, building confidence, revising concepts, and practising regularly. This cannot realistically happen in two one-hour sessions right before an exam.
Think about it this way: if a child struggled to grasp certain concepts throughout the entire school year β even with daily lessons β it is unfair to expect them to master everything within a few last-minute sessions. True progress needs time.
As a tutor, it does not make me happy to see learners coming very late in the term and then hearing that their final results were only a slight improvement. Yes, we celebrate every small win π because effort matters. But my goal is bigger than that. I want to see learners reaching their full potential β achieving marks in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s where possible. π
When a learner improves from a very low mark to 40% or 50%, it is still progress, and we acknowledge that. But sometimes that may still mean they have not passed β and that is heartbreaking for both the learner and the tutor.
Let us work together by starting early, staying consistent, and giving our children the best chance to succeed. Their future is worth the time. β€οΈ
