GRADE 9 & 11 CAREER EXPO | 4 AUGUST 2026
On Tuesday, our Grade 9 and 11 learners had the opportunity to explore their future at our Career Expo! 🌟 The expo was designed to help parents and learners make informed Grade 9 subject choices, while giving our Grade 11 learners insight into the opportunities and pathways available after school.

Outstanding Achievement at the Eskom SKZN Regional Science Expo!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our learners, who brought home an impressive 7 medals from 7 participants! 🤩
🥇 Gold Medal
• Kian (Grade 10) – Developed a calcium-sensing device to help detect heart attack indicators by monitoring calcium levels linked to troponin.
• Sairanya (Grade 9) – Investigated how air pollutants affect starch production in plants, comparing rural and urban environments.
🥈 Silver Medal
• Jecholia (Grade 11) – Amandla Emvelo (The Power of Nature): Explored using natural forces to generate water and electricity for rural communities with minimal cost.
• Vahini (Grade 9) – Designed an affordable vibrotactile hearing assistance and smart safety system for deaf and hearing-impaired individuals.
• Nathaniel (Grade 11) – Statistically compared the randomness of number sequences generated by humans, AI, computers and physical noise.
• Amanda (Grade 10) – Researched using sugarcane bagasse ash and waste cooking oil as an eco-friendly binder for unpaved rural roads.
🥉 Bronze Medal
• Kemita (Grade 10) – Investigated the impact of Vitamin E deficiency on domestic ruminants and its wider effects.

Yesterday, selected Grade 12 Consumer Studies learners cooked up a storm, filling the school with delicious aromas during their External Practical Assessment Moderation.👨🏽🍳
Nhlamulo, Sohalia, Tinashe and Kwazi proudly showcased their dedication, creativity and culinary skills by preparing homemade meals from scratch.
Thank you to their Consumer Studies educator, Mrs M. Maharaj for her commitment and unwavering support in mentoring our learners to achieve excellence.
