Yesterday, we kicked off our National Science Month Community Outreach Initiative at the Heilbron Taxi Rank!

The community enjoyed fun, interactive science and robotics exhibitions. They also had an opportunity to explore exciting career opportunities in science, technology, and innovation. Together, we celebrated this year's theme: "Science, Technology and Innovation is for Everyone."

A special shout-out to Mrs Tsotseti, Principal of Bhekilanga Primary School, for bringing her learners to be part of this inspiring experience. Your support is helping ignite curiosity and shape the innovators of tomorrow!

National Science Month Launch

The National Science Month Launch, held on 04 July 2026 at Vaal University of Technology , Sebokeng Campus, was an inspiring celebration of innovation, creativity, and scientific excellence.

BRC captivated visitors with its impressive Coding and Robotics exhibitions, showcasing how advanced technology can be used to promote renewable energy through wind and solar power solutions. The displays highlighted the potential of science and technology to create a more sustainable future.

The exhibition that captured everyone's attention was the Smart Blind Shades prototype. This innovative assistive technology is designed to help people who are blind or visually impaired by detecting obstacles in their path, improving their safety and independence. The prototype demonstrated how robotics and smart technology can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
