Guys, the minute you find out you are "accepted" at a University. DO THIS:

Decide quickly whether or not you really want to study that course,
•Do you really want to study that course for 3-4years? If yes procceed

Check the registration dates of that University
•Registration dates are available on the University's website, official social media pages or even your acceptance letter.

If the Registrations are OPEN,
Login in to your Student Portal and try to register.
•Try to register even if your NSFAS status has not changed, even if you have not received the clearance sms telling you to register. Just login and try to register.
•Step by step registration information is available on websites. Even your portal will tell you what to press and what to do next as you go.

💡The system will tell you whether or not you can register. Here how:

If your NSFAS was "approved" and you are "cleared" to register, you'll be able to register.
•The system will allow you to pick modules (subjects) and register.

If you are " not approved" "not cleared" to register yet, the system will tell you can't proceed.
•The system will show you an error message / pop up message which tells you, you need to pay the registration.

If the system is telling you to pay registration fees or the 'minimum amout', it means:
••For those whose NSFAS Status is NOT YET "Provisionally funded":
It means you are not funded yet.

••For those whose NSFAS status is "Provisionally funded": It means the University has not yet received the list of funded students from NSFAS with your name. Or they just haven't cleared you yet.

There is NOTHING you or even Miss Sam can do if you are approved by NSFAS but you are not allowed by the University to register.
•Only the University can clear you to register when they are 100% convinced you are funded.
•Unfortunately you can even lose your space and end up not registering at all while you're approved. It has been happening over the years. Universities want their money.

The idea of “respect your elders” that folks are saying… only fits if “elders” are respectful. There’s nothing about one’s age that entitles respect ~ it’s about the person. I’ve met highly respectful 20 year olds and highly disrespectful 60 year olds.
