*Passing your matric is a great achievement. But how you pass is important too.* It adds real value to your matric certificate.

Taking a gap year has been growing in popularity and can be a great alternative and opportunity for those who need a change of scenery with an abundance of growth and learning.

That one-year gap after high school can also give you the time and experience to make tough decisions, like decide what you truly want to study or what career to pursue. And that’s just the beginning.

Whether it’s photography, organic farming or international relations, a gap year can help you find dormant interests.

*It can help you discover your personal goals, and then provide the resources to achieve those goals* .

You’ve been sitting in classrooms for years. A gap year gets you out of a desk and into the real world, and is a great way to recharge your battery before college.

*Those who didn't perform well let us upgrade or rewrite our marks.*

If you are not happy with your matric results, you can upgrade them.

To upgrade your matric results, you register on the Adult Matric programme. Once you have improved the subjects you want to upgrade, you apply to Umalusi to combine your two sets of matric results.
