Wanderers Gymnastic Centre is situated in the heart of Northern Johannesburg and was established in 1888 as one of the five founding sub-clubs of the world-famous Wanderers sports complex. Children as young as three years old have started their relationship with gymnastics and we are privileged to have contributed in some small way to each of their lives. We consider all the children who walk thro

ugh our doors as part of our gymnastics family and encourage them in every way to achieve their full potential. There have been many who have remained with our club until adulthood and have competed internationally, while others continue with gymnastics for the pure thrill and enjoyment of the sport. There are numerous benefits derived from our age-appropriate training programmes and competitions. We have seen shy, introverted children blossom with self confidence, physical well being, and personal achievement. Start now!

The Truth: Gymnastics is not a girls’ sport. It is the sport that makes every other sport better.

The strongest male athletes in rugby, cricket, swimming, and athletics share a common foundation; body control, spatial awareness, explosive power, and the ability to move with precision under pressure. These are gymnastics skills. They are also the skills that separate good athletes from exceptional ones.

At WGC, we train boys and girls with the same structured, expert approach because physical development does not have a gender.
