Learning maths in a hands-on way! πΏπ¦
Our learners explored the concept of Concrete Mathematics by comparing and sequencing giraffes from shortest to tallest using natural materials and interactive learning stations. By physically manipulating objects and making observations, children build a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts while strengthening problem-solving, logical thinking and early numeracy skills.
At Little Ashford, we believe that meaningful learning begins with real experiences, where children can touch, explore and discover mathematics in the world around them.

Roaring into learning through sensory play! π¦πΏ
Our little explorers enjoyed an exciting dinosaur-themed sensory activity, using water, textures and imaginative play to bring prehistoric adventures to life. As they splashed, discovered and created their own stories, they were developing language, fine motor skills, creativity and scientific curiosity in a fun, hands-on environment.
At Little Ashford, we believe that the best learning happens when children are free to explore, imagine and make discoveries through play.

𦴠"Look! I found another one!"
There was great excitement at Little Ashford Sandton as our little learners became fossil hunters for the day.
Armed with brushes, magnifying glasses and plenty of curiosity, they carefully searched through the sand, uncovering hidden salt dough bones and investigating each new discovery. Every find sparked questions, conversations and imaginative theories as the children worked together to piece together their prehistoric clues.
Some discoveries may have been small, but the excitement they created was anything but.

Tiny discoveries, big learning! ππ
Our Little Ashford Sandton learners became young scientists as they set off on an exciting insect hunt around the campus.
Using magnifying glasses and technology to observe and document their findings, the children explored the fascinating world of insects while developing their observation skills, curiosity, and understanding of the natural environment.
Learning becomes even more meaningful when children are encouraged to investigate, question, and discover the world around them firsthand.

Who lives in trees? π³π¦
Our Little Ashford Sandton learners became curious nature detectives as they explored the wonderful textures and habitats found within a tree. From soft cotton "nests" to rough bark, leaves and natural materials, every discovery sparked conversations about the animals that call trees home.
Hands-on sensory play like this encourages curiosity, strengthens fine motor skills and helps children build a deeper appreciation for the natural world through exploration and play.
