There’s a brand-new stage waiting for you! 🌟

We are incredibly excited to introduce the Curtain Call Eisteddfod, an Eisteddfod created to celebrate performers of all kinds.

Whether you are a mainstream learner, a learner with special educational needs, a seasoned performer, or simply that overenthusiastic performer who will take ANY opportunity to get onto a stage… Curtain Call has a place for you! 😉🎭

For our inaugural 2026 season, participation will take place entirely through pre-recorded video submissions, making it possible for learners from anywhere to take part. And this is only the beginning…

And for those learners who suddenly realised that the school year is disappearing and those cultural marks are looking a little lonely… we’ve got you! 😅🏆

🎉 ONLINE RESULTS ARE ON THEIR WAY! 🎉

The wait is officially over! 💜✨

From today, 4 September 2026, the Perservaria LSEN Eisteddfod online results will start making their way to participants and schools. 🏆🎭🎶

Please remember that results are being sent out gradually, so don’t panic if yours doesn’t arrive immediately. With so many wonderful performances to process, it may take a little time for every result to reach its destination.

📩 If you have not received your results by 11 September 2026, you are welcome to contact us via email.

🎭🏆 WARNING: PROUD DRAMA TEACHER BRAG INCOMING! 🏆🎭

Can we just take a moment to brag about our LDS students?! Because WOW… what a season! 🌟💜

The stages have been busy, the nerves have been real, the rehearsals have been endless, and the words “one more time” have probably been said more times than anyone would like to admit. 😅 But all that hard work has paid off in the most wonderful way!

Our learners have achieved absolutely incredible results this year, and while the certificates, medals, trophies, and fantastic marks are definitely worth celebrating, we are even prouder of everything that happened before those results.

The lines that had to be learned. The movements that had to be polished. The confidence that had to be built. The nerves that had to be conquered. And then finally… that brave step onto the stage. 🎭✨

Watching our LDS performers grow from those first rehearsals into confident young performers has been one of the greatest privileges.

So yes… today we are going to brag just a little! 😉👏

We're delighted to welcome Liani Coetzee as the adjudicator
for the Western Cape Eisteddfod 2026.

Liani is a passionate drama coach, performing arts educator,
and the owner of Lavender Drama Studio. She is also the
creator of the Perservaria LSEN Eisteddfod and Curtain Call
Eisteddfod, with a passion for helping young performers grow in
confidence through the arts.

With adjudication experience dating back to 2016, Liani has
adjudicated Eisteddfods, ATKV Redenaars rounds, and public
speaking competitions across South Africa, including previous
Western Cape Eisteddfods. Her background spans drama,
public speaking, creative writing, dance, modelling, vocal
performance, instrumental music, and art, allowing her to
appreciate and adjudicate a wide range of performing arts
disciplines with insight and understanding.

Known for her encouraging and constructive feedback, Liani
believes every performance is an opportunity to learn, grow,
and celebrate creativity.

✍️ THERE ONCE WAS A DRAMA CLASS… 🎭

Last week, our drama students traded their scripts for pens as we explored the wonderfully silly world of Limericks!

Learners discovered how these short five-line poems use rhyme, rhythm, and a whole lot of imagination before putting their creativity to the test and writing their very own limericks. 📝✨

And when you give drama students permission to write something funny… well, things get interesting VERY quickly! 😂 From ridiculous characters to unexpected endings, there was certainly no shortage of creativity in the studio.

Not every drama lesson happens on the stage. Sometimes, learning how to play with words is exactly what helps us become better storytellers and performers. 💜
