Following the 50 000-household milestone, the BAMMISHO team continued the celebration while also taking time to learn and grow together.

We recently took part in a Climate Fresk Workshop, an interactive session exploring the impacts of pollution on our environment while creating space for reflection, learning and collaboration.

As the work continues across the Royal Bafokeng Nation, so does the commitment to stronger communities and a healthier environment.

2025 | BAMMISHO Node – Lesung Village

The BAMMISHO Node and the Royal Bafokeng Nation united the community at Lesung Community Hall for a powerful World AIDS Day commemoration filled with poetry, music, dance, games, prizes and free HIV testing provided by The Aurum Institute.

Delivering the keynote address, Prof Geoffrey Setswe, Aurum Managing Director: Implementation Research Division, reflected on this year’s theme, Rethink. Rebuild. Rise.

“A truly effective response means we must rethink outdated models, rebuild systems that put people first, and rise together through inclusive policies, innovation, and collaboration.”
— Prof Setswe

This day was a reminder that when communities stand together, we rise stronger against HIV/AIDS, with dignity, hope, and determination.
