We would like to congratulate all our Elite Sports Training Academy players who were part of the Stilfontein Hurricanes Rugby Club squad throughout the 2026 season.

While some of our boys proudly represented the club in this past weekend's semi-final against Leeudoringstad, we also want to recognize those who unfortunately missed out due to injury and those who were not selected for the matchday squad. Every player contributed to the team's journey, and each played an important role in helping the Hurricanes reach the semi-finals.

At our academy, we believe success is built by the entire squad—not just the players who take the field on match day. The dedication shown at training, the sacrifices made throughout the season, and the relentless attitude displayed by every academy player are what truly make us proud.

Elite Sports Training Academy is now accepting Mid-Year Applications for our Elite 7's Development Programme, specifically designed to prepare ambitious players for success in Sevens Rugby while shaping them for the 2027 Fifteens Season.

Our programme focuses on:
✅ Elite 7's skills and game understanding
✅ Speed, agility and strength & conditioning
✅ Position-specific development
✅ High-performance coaching
✅ Preparing players for the 2027 15's season
✅ Pathway to club, provincial and higher-level rugby

Elite Sports Training Academy – Strategic Partnership Announcement

Elite Sports Training Academy (ESTA) is proud to announce the successful outcome of yesterday’s meeting with Impala Rugby Club, Rustenburg Impala Rugby Club. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in the academy’s expansion and future development.

From 2027, ESTA will officially be based in Rustenburg, with our rugby student‑athletes competing at Impala Rugby Club. This partnership provides a structured pathway for our athletes to grow within competitive rugby environments while also opening doors to meaningful career opportunities.

⚡Key Outcomes of the Partnership

🏉Age‑Group Rugby Exposure
Student‑athletes will participate in Under‑19, Under-20 and Under‑21 rugby competitions, gaining vital experience in age‑group structures that prepare them for higher levels of play.

🏉Pathway to Senior Rugby
For athletes demonstrating readiness and ability, the pathway to senior rugby at Impala Rugby Club will be open, ensuring a clear progression route into elite competition.

🏉Career Development Through Learnerships
In addition to rugby opportunities, ESTA will provide access to career‑focused learnership programs. These programs are designed to equip student‑athletes with valuable skills and qualifications, ensuring they are prepared for professional careers beyond the rugby field.
