Heritage Day Celebration at Letsibogo Primary School

On this special day, our learners and staff came together to honor the beauty of South Africa’s diverse cultures. The celebration was brought to life through the four senses of art-music that echoed our traditions, dance that expressed joy and unity, drama that told powerful cultural stories, and visual art that showcased creativity and heritage. 🎶

The highlight of the day was welcoming Mahlatse Moropo, widely recognized as Letetswe Kunutu from Skeem Saam. His presence inspired learners and added excitement to the festivities, reminding us of the importance of embracing our roots while celebrating talent and achievement.

Learners proudly wore their traditional attire, filling the school grounds with vibrant colors, patterns, and styles that reflected the richness of our nation’s heritage. From Setswana to Zulu, Xhosa to Pedi, and many more, each outfit told a story of identity and pride. The atmosphere was alive with laughter, song, and the spirit of togetherness. ❤️🇿🇦

Tomorrow, 17 September 2026, our school community comes together to honor our diverse cultures, traditions, and shared heritage.

This year’s celebration will be extra special as we welcome Eric Machereu and Mahlatse Moropo — known to many as Leteetswe Kunutu, son of Charles Kunutu on Skeem Saam!

Expect vibrant music, dance, and colorful displays of cultural attire.

Traditional foods will showcase the richness of our heritage.

Learners, staff, parents, and our honored guests will join hands in celebrating the spirit of Ubuntu.

The Principal of Letsibogo Primary School, Hon. Ramonne Powane, proudly congratulates Kgosana Dr Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu on his appointment as Research Associate at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU).

The Office of Kgosana Koketso Rakhudu (OOKKR) – Kgotla Ya Rakhudu, Tsitsing, Royal Bafokeng Nation, is honoured to announce this prestigious 3-year appointment in the Department of Public Health, School of Health Care Sciences at SMU, effective 1 September 2026 – 31 August 2029.

This achievement is a testament to Kgosana’s academic rigour, research commitment, and visionary leadership.

It represents more than personal success — it is a historic convergence of Traditional Leadership and Academic Excellence.

As a traditional leader serving his Morafe and now as a researcher in Public Health, Kgosana Dr. Rakhudu embodies the Plan 2035 vision of building a self-sufficient, knowledge-driven, and healthy Tsitsing.

In this role, he will contribute to cutting-edge research, teaching, and community-based health innovation, strengthening the bridge between university research and community development in the Royal Bafokeng Nation.

The Kgotla Ya Rakhudu joins Letsibogo Primary School in congratulating Kgosana Dr. Rakhudu on this well-deserved appointment.
