We are incredibly proud to celebrate Coach Dale on successfully completing the Coaching Development D Licence Course, presented in partnership with North-West University and the South African Football Association (SAFA).

After a completing a 7-day training programme, Coach Dale has officially earned his SAFA D Licence, further enhancing his coaching knowledge, skills, and commitment to developing young talent.

This achievement reflects his dedication to continuous learning and excellence in coaching. Our soccer teams are fortunate to be guided by someone who is passionate about growth, leadership, and thegame.

Today our school traded in school shoes for slippers as we celebrated Slipper Day! From fluffy slippers to funky slides and cozy socks, our learners brought the comfort and the fun to school today.

The staff of TWPS… you guessed it… they’re definitely superheroes in disguise!🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Earlier in March, our amazing staff members rolled up their sleeves and took on Basic Life Support & First Aid Training provided by Tiko Training Institute. From learning the theory behind burns, seizures, and so much more, to hands-on practicals like stabilizing injuries and wrapping broken arms, our staff was fully geared! 🚑

Yesterday, the heroes officially received their certificates and are now certified first aiders! 🎉👏

So whether it’s a bump, a stump, or a little “ouchie,” our learners are truly in safe hands.

🏆📚 Math Competition Success at Platinum Village Primary School! 📚🏆

On Friday, 22 May 2026, 30 of our learners participated in a Mathematics Competition hosted at Platinum Village Primary School.

The competition saw 15 Grade 2 learners and 15 Grade 3 learners showcasing their mathematical skills, confidence, and teamwork.

TWPS Majorettes and Cheerleading proudly represented our school at the North West Majorettes and Cheerleading Association (NWMCA) Regional Competition 4, hosted at Lahoff Laerskool.

The competition brought together talented teams from across the province, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement, energy, and outstanding performances.

Throughout the event, our learners displayed remarkable dedication, discipline, teamwork, and incredible school spirit. Their passion and commitment shone through in every performance👏

🏐 Mini-Netball at Laerskool Rustenburg 🏐

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, our three mini-netball teams played their final matches of the season at Laerskool Rustenburg and what a fantastic way to end the season!

Our U/7 team took on Rustenburg Noord and Proteapark in two exciting matches. The girls displayed wonderful teamwork and some truly marvellous skills on the court. We are incredibly proud of our little netball stars, who have grown tremendously under the guidance of Coach Moiloa 🌟

The U/8 team faced Waterkloof Hills Primary and Proteapark, playing with determination, passion, and confidence. Their natural talent and love for the game shone through in every match. Coaches Omarjee and Havenga have certainly built a strong and spirited team! 💪

Our U/9 team, coached by Ms. Ngubeni and Ms. Havenga, continues to be the flagship of TWPS mini-netball. The girls demonstrated agility, compassion, teamwork, and outstanding netball skills in their matches against David Brink and Laerskool Rustenburg. Their performances reflected the true potential of future netball stars! ⭐

We are wrapping up the mini-netball season on a high note and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who woke up early every Saturday morning to ensure their daughters proudly represented our school. Your support and dedication made this season possible.

A special thank you goes out to the TWPS SGB for spoiling the girls with McDonald’s burgers and chips after every match — a treat they thoroughly enjoyed! 🍔🍟

Tlhabane West principal earns prestigious African honour

Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – Tlhabane West Primary School is beaming with pride after its principal, Dr. Ditshego Tlhowe, received a prestigious Fellowship Award from the Africa Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) during the AFTRA International Conference held in Gaborone, Botswana, on 5 and 6 May 2026.

The award was presented in recognition of Dr. Tlhowe’s exceptional leadership, innovation and unwavering commitment to quality education as the founding principal of Tlhabane West Primary School. Nominated by South Africa’s Department of Basic Education, Dr. Tlhowe was honoured for transforming the school into a centre of academic excellence and for his broader contribution to education development across the province and country.

Over the years, he has played a significant role in mentoring newly appointed School Management Teams, participating in international educational programme exchanges, serving as a provincial pioneer for the Basic Education Employment Initiative, and presenting at ministerial engagements and leadership conferences. His growing list of accolades also includes receiving the National Teaching Awards for Excellence in Primary School Leadership in 2025. The award ceremony formed part of the 13th AFTRA Conference and 15th Roundtable, officially opened by Botswana President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko at the Gaborone International Convention Centre.
