We are very proud to celebrate our top achiever, Cassandra Coetzee, who has been accepted at the University of Stellenbosch to study BA (Drama and Theatre Studies)! 🎭📚
Cassey, what a journey it has been!
We still remember the shy Grade 8 girl with braces who walked through our doors – and look at you now: confident, driven, talented, and ready to take on the world.
One of our fond memories was the Cape Town trip, where we saw a whole new side of you – determined, passionate, and delightfully dramatic (in the very best way 😉). It became so clear that you weren’t just a star student… you were truly a star in the making.

🎓 I Failed Matric – What Now?

Don’t panic – failing matric does NOT mean you must redo everything!

👉 You only need to rewrite the subjects you failed or want to improve.
Once you’ve completed the rewrites, your results can be combined into one official NSC certificate with your best marks.

What About My SBA Marks?

When you register to rewrite a subject, you will be asked:

“Will you be redoing your SBA?”

This simply means you have a choice:

✔ Keep your previous SBA (School-Based Assessment) marks
✔ OR redo all SBA tasks, tests and exams for that subject

If you choose to keep your old SBA marks, you only need to rewrite the final NSC exam in October/November.

Improve Your Results with MTTC!

A matric rewrite gives you a second chance to open new doors:

• Improve your National Senior Certificate results
• Boost your APS score
• Change your endorsement (e.g. Diploma → Bachelor)
• Add or replace subjects to meet study requirements
• Strengthen your chances for university or college admission

And the good news? You don’t need to redo all your subjects – only the ones you choose.

Who Should Consider a Matric Rewrite?

A rewrite is perfect if you:

• Failed one or more subjects
• Passed matric but didn’t qualify for your chosen course
• Want to improve marks for university entry
• Need to replace a subject (e.g. Mathematical Literacy → Mathematics)
• Want to add a new subject
• Completed matric years ago and want a fresh start
