Why do we do tear - paste ?
It may look like a simple activity, but tearing and pasting is packed with learning opportunities for our toddlers! 🌈

When little hands tear paper, pick up small pieces and carefully paste them onto a page, they are developing:

✨ Fine motor skills – strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers

✨ Hand-eye coordination – learning to guide their hands using what they see

✨ Pincer grip & finger strength – important foundations for holding crayons and, later, pencils

✨ Bilateral coordination – teaching both hands to work together

✨ Concentration & patience – encouraging children to focus and complete a task

✨ Creativity & sensory exploration – discovering different textures, colours and ways to create

At Snoopy Nursery School, we know that some of the simplest activities build some of the most important skills. 💜

Every little tear, dab of glue and piece of paper is helping prepare those tiny hands for bigger learning ahead! 🥰📚

This week at Snoopy Nursery School, we’re learning all about the dentist and taking care of our beautiful smiles! 😁💜

Through fun, age-appropriate activities, our little ones are discovering why we brush our teeth, which foods help keep our teeth healthy, what happens when we visit the dentist, and why there’s nothing to be afraid of. 🦷🪥

Learning about dental care from a young age helps children develop healthy lifelong habits while making a visit to the dentist feel familiar, positive and fun.

Because at Snoopy, even learning to care for our teeth can be an adventure! 🌟

🐝🦋🐞 Garden Visitors at Snoopy! 🌸🌿

This week at Snoopy Nursery School, our little learners have been exploring the wonderful world of garden visitors! 🐛🐜🐝🦋

From busy bees and colourful butterflies to tiny insects crawling through the garden, the children have been learning about the important role these little creatures play in nature. 🌻🌱

Through stories, creative activities, outdoor exploration and play, we’ve been discovering how bees help our flowers grow, how butterflies change and develop, and why even the tiniest insects are an important part of our environment. 💛

There is so much to discover when little eyes explore the garden! 🌼🔍

This week, some of our dedicated teachers attended two days of First Aid Training to refresh and strengthen their skills in caring for our little ones.

At Snoopy Nursery School, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority, and we are committed to ensuring our team is equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency.

A huge well done to our teachers for your commitment to continuous learning and for always going the extra mile to keep our children safe. We are so proud of you! 👏💙

🔬🍎🥕 Little Scientists at Work! 🥕🍎🔬

This week at Snoopy Nursery School, our Fruit and Vegetables theme came to life through exciting, hands-on science experiments! From making predictions and observing changes to asking lots of curious questions, our little learners embraced the joy of discovery.

Science is so much more than mixing ingredients or watching fun reactions. It encourages children to think critically, solve problems, explore new ideas, and understand how the world around them works. These early experiences help build confidence, creativity, language skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Snoopy, we believe that the best learning happens when children are actively involved, getting messy, asking “Why?”, and discovering the answers for themselves.

We are so proud of our young scientists and the excitement they showed throughout the week. 🌱✨

We are so excited to welcome all our Snoopy families back for another fun-filled term of learning, laughter and discovery.

This week we explored our Native American theme through imaginative play, creativity and adventure.
