SGB

A huge thank you to Mr Sammy Machethe who has served as our Chairperson on the Governing Body for quite some time now. Mr Machethe has decided to resign from his position. The SGB will ensure that it will continue to remain fully functional.

On behalf of the EMT, SMT, SGB, teachers, learners and parents, I would like to sincerely thank Mr Machethe for all that he did during his tenure. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have worked with someone of his calibre. He has always displayed a deep care and dedication towards our Boskop family. My sincere thanks to Sir as well as his family. We wish him all the best, both professionally and personally. We thank him for his service.

ADMISSIONS 2027

Commencement of the 2027 Admission Period will be announced in the Media and
communicated to schools by the DBE. Grade R and Grade 7 Parents have already been given a letter that contains important details about the Admissions process.
Only once the admissions period has been defined can parents be notified of the relevant dates. The school will then supply guidelines that inform and guide parents on how the process works, as well as what documents will be required.

Your application does not guarantee placement, nor does having a current sibling at Boskop Primary School. Boskop Primary School is a high-pressure school. This means that our school receives exceptionally high numbers of applications. Your application will be placed on a waiting list.

The girls displayed remarkable teamwork, discipline, and determination. Congratulations to all players and coaches for their hard work and commitment. FUNDRAISER – BOSKOP RAFFLE

We are excited about our first big fundraiser for the year – our Boskop Raffle.

This is how it will work:
➢ Each learner has received a numbered raffle form. Raffle forms will have a green printed school stamp on them.
➢ Each raffle ticket has a number.
➢ Each raffle ticket will be sold for R20-00.
➢ The total of each raffle list is R500-00. Learners who want to be eligible for prizes may request another list once their first R500 has been paid in.
➢ Please assist your child to sell all of the tickets. Please do not allow your child to go door to door to sell their tickets unless you go with them. Please don’t let them approach strangers either. A good idea is for a Parent to take the list to work with them – a super team effort!
➢ Raffle lists with the money are to be returned as soon as the list is full. A final date for submission of all lists will be supplied.
➢ If a learner loses the raffle list an amount of R250-00 is payable.

The prizes that raffle ticket purchasers can win are:
1st Prize - R5 000-00 Checkers Voucher
2nd Prize - R3 000-00 Checkers Voucher
3rd Prize - R2 000-00 Checkers Voucher

There are also prizes for the teacher, individual learners in the Foundation Phase and Intersen Phase who sell the most raffle tickets. The class from each phase that raises the most money in total will win a movie, picnic, civvies and a sweet treat!
Parents – fundraising at our school is essential. Our GDE funding has been cut by 64% and we have lost 2 teaching posts. Some Parents are also not paying school fees – please rectify this. We need to supplement our income with these extra funds. The funds raised will be spent on providing the best education to your son/daughter.

Employees of Boskop Primary School are not eligible to enter, but hopefully they will still buy tickets to support our school.
