📅 Examination Weekend: 28 & 29 August

Students who have completed their required Kyu Level can enter to write their official international grading examination.

On successfully passing, students receive an internationally recognised PAMA Global certificate, certified through PAMA Global and its International Head Office in Taiwan 🇹🇼🌍

It’s an exciting opportunity for our students to have their progress measured against international Abacus & Mental Arithmetic standards. 🏆

We are delighted to announce that A⁺Students South Africa has officially received the formal invitation from PAMA Global Russia to participate in the 24th PAMA Global Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Championships in Moscow, Russia, on 27 December 2026.

Now, the excitement builds as we prepare to select the students who will proudly wear the South African colours in Moscow.

🏆🌟 Celebrating an Incredible A⁺ Achievement! 🌟🏆

A massive congratulations to Heather Parker (formerly Heather Harding), franchisee of Ruimsig and Weltevredenpark, on another outstanding milestone! ❤️🧮

Heather was the A⁺ Students South Africa Franchisee of the Year Runner-Up (2024) and our Franchisee of the Year (2025). She has now added yet another remarkable achievement to her name by successfully passing the PAMA Global Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Advance Level 2 (Japanese Dan 4–10 Levels) Grading Examinations with flying colours!

🥇 Heather is the first South African to achieve this prestigious qualification, making her the country’s first Abacus & Mental Arithmetic, Dan 10 certified teacher.

As if that wasn’t enough, Heather has also guided a group of students who have qualified for the A⁺ Students South Africa Abacus & Mental Arithmetic National Championship (19 September 2026), with many standing a chance to represent South Africa at the PAMA Global International Competition in Moscow this December. 🇿🇦🌍

Heather, your passion, dedication, commitment to excellence, and love for your students continue to inspire all of us. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of the A⁺ Students family.

Congratulations to Leani Williams (Pretoria North) and Nastashia Jacobs (Montana North of the Mountain) on successfully completing our intensive 9-Day A⁺Students Sensei Training Programme! 👏📚

Both Senseis passed with an outstanding A+ average, demonstrating exceptional dedication, determination, a competitive spirit, and an incredible work ethic throughout the training. 💪⭐

Leani joins A⁺Students with a background as a Mathematics and Science teacher, while Nastashia joins us with a background in Early Childhood Development.

Nastashia’s journey with A⁺Students makes this achievement even more special. She first became part of the A⁺ family as a parent when her son joined A⁺ at just 3 years old. He is now 12 years old and has consistently ranked among the top two Mathematics learners at his school for many years. Inspired by the difference A⁺ made in her own child’s life, she is now beginning her own journey as an A⁺ Sensei.

Both Leani and Nastashia are passionate about children and education, and we have no doubt they have bright futures ahead at A⁺Students.
