Spring Day just wouldn’t be Spring Day without a picnic outdoors! 🌸☀️

Our students made the most of the sunshine with blankets, yummy lunchboxes and some time together outside.

A lovely way to welcome the new season. 💙

Happy Heritage Day from all of us at Skye! 🎉

The colours were out, the outfits were on, and of course we found an excuse for another picnic. 😄

A really fun day celebrating the different cultures, traditions and stories that make up our school community.

Galaxy Club, this holiday, has been anything but quiet! 🚲🎈🧊🎨

So far, we’ve had Bring Your Bike to School Day, water balloon tag, burst-the-balloon games, pine cone experiments, ice cube painting for our preschoolers, plenty of art and lots of time to play.

A busy, messy, fun-filled holiday club - exactly how it should be. 💙

Thank you to every single person who came out last week Saturday for the Hope for Munashe Fun Hike. The sun was out, Syringa Park was beautiful, and Munashe had a whole community walking for him.

If you couldn't make it, you can still help by contributing here: https://bit.ly/3TUZO9V

✨ Grade 4 & up - we’re kicking off (Holy) Spirit Week!

This Sunday, we come together for a special family night of worship as we kick off an incredible week of connection, celebration, faith and school spirit. 🙌

Join us from 17:00–19:00 as we worship together and prepare our hearts for everything Holy Spirit Week has in store.

Bring your family. Bring your energy. Come ready to worship and celebrate together!

A snack tuckshop will be open - card payments only.

Hope for Munashe: How can we all help? 💛

Munashe is 13. He he works harder than most, and he has a real gift for science.

He is also fighting brain cancer.

He came through his first major operation. Then the scans showed the tumour has started to grow again. He and his family now need their community behind them, so that he can get the treatment he needs.

So on 12 September, we are walking.

The Hope for Munashe Fun Hike is at Syringa Park, and it is open to everyone, whether or not you have a child at Skye. Bring your family, bring your neighbours, choose your distance, and spend a morning outdoors with people who came for the same reason. Every ticket goes to Munashe and his family.

His classmates made a video to explain why this is such a worthy cause.

📅 12 September 2026
⏰ 08:00
📍 Syringa Park
🥾 2.5km | 5km | 8km | 10km
🎟 R100 adults | R60 under 18s

Tickets: https://store.sticitt.co.za/events2

If you cannot make the morning, or you would like to contribute more than a ticket, you can donate directly here on BackaBuddy: https://bit.ly/3TUZO9V

R100 helps. So does sending this to someone who can.

Walk with us. Stand with Munashe. 💛

Some school days are for lessons. Some are for laughing. Wacky Wednesday at Skye was firmly the second kind ✨🦖

The corridors have never looked so decorated. The speeches have never been so rehearsed. The Grade 11s have never taken hallway walks so seriously.

Prefect campaign week at Skye is officially on.

Leadership here isn't about the badge. It's about service, principles, and doing the hard tasks well. Our 2027 candidates have been training for this moment for years.

Bring on 2027 🥳
