🍭Grade 7 Valediction Celebration 2026🍭

On Thursday, 13 August, Curro Wilgeheuwel proudly celebrated the Grade 7 Class of 2026 as they marked their final year in Primary School with a memorable Candy Land-themed valediction and farewell.

The excitement began long before the event, with learners receiving special invitations accompanied by delicious ice cream treats. The Candy Land theme brought a sense of fun and joy to the occasion, creating the perfect atmosphere for a celebration of growth, achievement, and cherished memories.

The valediction ceremony was a heartfelt opportunity to express gratitude to the parents, guardians, families, peers, and teachers who have supported and guided the learners throughout their primary school journey. Their encouragement, dedication, and unwavering support played an important role in helping the learners reach this significant milestone.

The evening continued with a wonderful meal shared together, allowing learners and staff to reflect on the years spent building friendships and creating lasting memories. A sweet treat of mini doughnuts added the perfect finishing touch to the festivities before everyone made their way to the dance floor. Dressed to impress, the Grade 7 learners celebrated in style, dancing and enjoying every moment together until it was time to say goodbye.

The event was a beautiful reflection of the spirit of Curro Wilgeheuwel, where learners are encouraged to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. As the Grade 7 Class of 2026 prepares to embark on the next chapter of their educational journey, we wish them every success. 🎨 Colour Remix! 🌈

Today, our little explorers became mini scientists as they explored the magic of colour mixing! 💛💙 Using their hands, they mixed yellow and blue paint into soft, fluffy shaving cream and discovered that yellow + blue = GREEN! 💚

This fun, hands-on sensory activity helped develop:
• Fine motor skills
• Sensory development
• Colour recognition
• Cognitive development
• Creativity and exploration
• Language development
• Hand-eye coordination
