Dear Parents,

One of the greatest privileges of our school is the trust you place in us – not only with your children’s education, but with the values and environment in which they are raised. It is a responsibility we never take lightly.

Over the years, many families have asked us whether the Baken school journey could begin even earlier. As our school community has grown, it has become clear that there is a real need for a preschool and daycare environment that reflects the same philosophy, values, and standard of care that you already know and trust.

We are therefore pleased to share that from 1 August 2026, Baken will be welcoming the launch of its Preschool and Daycare Giraffe campus @437 Aureole Drive, Northriding.

Our school journey now starts earlier.

Our Preschool and Daycare has been designed to provide a nurturing, structured, and age-appropriate environment that aligns seamlessly with the Baken approach to learning and development, ensuring continuity from the earliest years through to primary and high school.

Geagte Ouers,

Een van die grootste voorregte van ons skool is die vertroue wat u in ons plaas – nie net met u kinders se opvoeding nie, maar ook met die waardes en omgewing waarin hulle grootword. Dit is ’n verantwoordelikheid wat ons nooit ligtelik opneem nie.

Oor die jare het baie families ons gevra of die Baken-skoolreis nie reeds op ’n jonger ouderdom kan begin nie. Soos ons skoolgemeenskap gegroei het, het dit duidelik geword dat daar ’n werklike behoefte bestaan aan ’n voorskool- en dagsorgomgewing wat dieselfde filosofie, waardes en standaard van sorg weerspieël wat u reeds ken en vertrou.

Ons is daarom verheug om aan te kondig dat Baken vanaf 1 Augustus 2026 sy Voorskool- en Dagsorg Giraffe-kampus by Aureole drive 437, Northriding, sal open.

Ons skoolreis begin nou vroeër.

Ons Voorskool en Dagsorg is ontwerp om ’n veilige, versorgende, gestruktureerde en ouderdomsgepaste omgewing te bied wat naatloos aansluit by die Baken-benadering tot leer en ontwikkeling. Dit verseker kontinuïteit vanaf die vroegste ontwikkelingsjare tot en met die laer- en hoërskoolfase.

♟️ Baken Akademie het vandag die voorreg gehad om aan die CPH May Rapid Skaaktoernooi deel te neem.

Al ons leerders wat deelgeneem het, het uitstekend gevaar en waardevolle ervaring opgedoen deur teen baie verskillende spelers van verskeie skole en klubs te speel. Ons is ongelooflik trots op elke leerder wat Baken Akademie met vasberadenheid, fokus en goeie sportmanskap verteenwoordig het.

‘n Spesiale gelukwensing aan Anabelle Prinsloo wat 2de plek in die C-klas behaal het! 🏅 Ons is baie trots op haar prestasie en al die harde werk wat sy in haar skaak insit.

Baie goed gedaan aan al ons spelers — hou aan groei, leer en slim skuiwe maak! ♟️

♟️ Today Baken Akademie had the privilege of participating in the CPH May Rapid Chess Tournament.

All our students who participated did exceptionally well and gained valuable experience playing against many different players from various schools and clubs. We are proud of every learner who represented Baken Akademie with determination, focus, and good sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to Anabelle Prinsloo for achieving 2nd place in the C Class section! 🏅 We are incredibly proud of her achievement and the hard work she has put into her chess.

Well done to all our players — keep growing, learning, and making your moves count! ♟️
