At Pitter Patter Montessori, learning about South Africa is so much more than learning facts — it’s about experiencing, creating, exploring and celebrating the beautiful country we call home. ❤️💚💛💙

Over our South African-themed learning journey, our little explorers have been discovering:

🌍 Our beautiful country — provinces, landmarks, national symbols and the incredible diversity of South Africa.
🦁 African animals — from the Big Five to fascinating animal tracks, sounds and habitats.
🎨 Art & creativity — using little hands to create colourful masterpieces inspired by our landscapes, wildlife and heritage.
🧿 Culture & traditions — exploring clothing, homes, music, crafts, food and the many cultures that make our country unique.
🧮 Learning through play — incorporating maths, matching, fine-motor activities, sensory play and movement into our theme.
🥁 Movement & music — learning through songs, dance, gross-motor games and joyful physical activities.
❤️ Belonging & pride — discovering that our differences are something to celebrate and that together, we make something truly special.

Every activity gives our children an opportunity to learn with their hands, follow their curiosity and build meaningful connections with the world around them.
