Grade 7s at Risidale Primary School came to school dressed up in the attire of their chosen career on Friday 23 August for their Career Day, which forms part of the Life Orientation curriculum.
The purpose of the day was to give learners exposure to different career fields to help learners understand the range of opportunities available, as well as to discover how their interests might align with different careers.
Learners were given the opportunity to listen to guest speakers from different career fields who gave valuable information and advice, and also guided learners in their academic and career planning. Hearing from these successful professionals inspired our learners to pursue their goals and encouraged them to work hard towards their future.
Our Grade 7s not only had fun in being able to come to school dressed up as adults, but also thoroughly enjoyed this successful learning experience.
A special thank you goes out to our guests for giving up their time and sharing their insights with the future adults of our country.
We express our gratitude to Mrs Peme, one of our SGB parents for welcoming our learners and guests to the event.
Risidale appreciates the efforts of Ms Koza, their Life Orientation teacher, and Mr Fransman, the Departmental Head for organising this enriching event for our learners.
