‼️ICYMI‼️

The EFFYC Led SRC WS Komani Campus Premier Gebe Silindokuhle arguing against the withheld results unfairly imposed on Walter Sisulu students, a strong stance of the EFF and the EFFYC as proposed in the student relief bill by EFFYC Convener and EFF MP Sihle Lonzi. This is why you should vote for the EFFYC in your SRC elections and later the EFF in the LGEs.

‼️Immediate Release ‼️

20/07/2026

Revolutionary Greetings to the entirety of the WS Komani Student Populace

The EFFYC hereby announces that after intensive engagements with the management that the registrar has officially opened amendments for subject additions and cancellations. All SBE students affected by concurrent registration are hereby notified by the EFFYC to make use of this window to amend their SBE modules urgently.

The EFFYC also notes that the SBE stipend has reflected to the ITS interface(student portal) and commends this action by management. However the EFFYC states to the entire student populace that should the SBE stipend fail to reach students accounts by tomorrow, NO SBE LEVEL 3 and 4 should report for their SBE. This is reasoned from the fact that no student should be subjected to report for SBE whereas the stipend needed for basic necessities for their Teaching Practice due to them is not paid.

The EFFYC hereby commits to fighting for student needs and ensuring that the student populace is not disadvantaged in their School-Based Experience

Yours In Leadership

‼️NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE‼️

♦️URGENT NOTICE♦️

Dear Unfunded Students,

The ISRC has noted that many unfunded students are currently facing financial hardship due to delays or non-approval of NSFAS funding. This has directly impacted access to basic needs like food, which affects concentration, health, and overall academic performance. In recognition of this, the ISRC has prioritized immediate relief to ensure no student has to struggle during this examination season.

To address this, the SRC with collaboration with the Vice Chancellor Prof T Mgwebi will be distributing food parcels for unfunded students across the university in the following manner:

3 June 2026 (14H00)
iBika
Queenstown

4 June 2026 (14H00)
BCC

8 June 2026 (14H00)
Mthatha

This distribution aims to provide temporary support and dignity to students while there are ongoing engagements with NSFAS hence the ISRC is also scheduled to meet with NSFAS on the 4th-5th of June 2026 in East London to address many of these issues pertaining funding.

To the students appearing on the attached list, please bring your student card/ID for verification.

Regards
ISRC

Revolutionary Greetings to the student populace of Walter Sisulu in the name of economic freedom in our lifetime.

The EFFYC WS Komani has noticed that there are students who have not yet had their Non-Res Allowances uploaded to their IntelliCell. This is an unfair turn in procedure and the EFFYC is committed to ensuring that ALL non-Res students receive their allowances as part of the organisation's mission of fair and equal treatment of all Walter Sisulu students.

As a result the EFFYC urges that all affected students fill in the link provided below for submission to relevant offices.

‼️FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ‼️

To : Level 1 and 2 B.Ed Students

Revolutionary Greetings Fighters, Sons and Daughters of the Working Class , The Poor and the Marginalized whose history is written in blood.❤️🖤💚

The EFFYC WS Komani Branch notes the issues surrounding School-Based Experience for Level 1 and 2 Education Students and declares that it is unfair of the SBE Coordinator's office to disappear and not release full and clear communication to the Level 1 students regarding their SBEs.The EFFYC has taken steps to directly contact the WIL Coordinator and is closely working with the SRC and Edussoc to have the issues surrounding SBE for Level 1 and 2 students resolved quickly.

We remain clear and stand with our students. No students will go to the SBE without their stipends being released, Students will not be limited to a 100 km radius for SBE, and students must be given a week to prepare for the SBE. We are prepared to fight fearlessly and radically to ensure that our grievances are met.

Revolutionary Regards
