CHOIR STRIKES (DOUBLE) GOLD: The College Choir took to the stage at the Queenstown Eisteddfod this morning with two enchanting items. The choir produced masterful performances of “Marvellous” and “Ikhon’ indawo” to score them a double gold from the judges.

A COMMUNITY UNITED : Our Bring-A-Thing day collected a record amount of non-perishable foods for use where there is need in our community. SOCCER VS ALIWAL NORTH HIGH : Our 1st team boys had a tough and competitive away match against Aliwal North High this afternoon.

Both teams displayed good sportsmanship and commitment throughout the game.

Our boys fought hard and managed to secure a 2-2 draw against Aliwal North High.

Goals for Get Ahead were scored by our captain, Uyathandwa Zimba, and Lonwabo Mbaru

We commend the boys for their effort, teamwork, and determination.

DEBATERS DELIVER!

It is a very cold and grey day in Gqeberha today, but our debating team's results at the Provincial tournament have raised our spirits very high.

Ziimfefe Magwentshu recieved a Top 10 Speaker Award. She was ranked 9th place in the Junior Speaker Divison. A great achievement for our Grade 8 pupil.

In addition to that, Indibabale Ntozini has secured a spot in the Junior Division National's Squad, and will be competing at the Debating Nationals in December.

Our Junior team has proven to be formidable speakers and they have flown our Get Ahead College flag very high this weekend. We are very proud of them!

CELEBRATING THE WOMEN OF GET AHEAD : Today we pause to reflect on and celebrate the wonderful women of the Get Ahead family. We appreciate their leadership, their compassion, and their anchoring role in our communities and in our country.

National Women’s Day reminds us of the courage of the women who marched in 1956, but also of the contribution women continue to make to our families, our communities and our country every day.

DEBATERS MAKE A GREAT START! Our Junior Debating team is in Gqeberha this weekend, having qualified for the provincial debating championships. They kicked off their day today with two wins in a row - the unprepared debate was against Umthatha Christian School and the prepared debate against Pearson High School.

We hope they retain this winning streak for the rest of the tournament.
