May 20, 2021, Bricklaying Apprenticeship induction workshop is underway in Cradock and Middelburg. CHDA is in partnership with Construction Education ,Training Authority (CETA) and Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality (IYLM),where CHDA is the implementing agent,CETA is the funder and IYLM is the host.A total of 20 learners have been chosen for this apprenticeship from both towns and there is a R3000 stipend each month. The duration of this programme is 3yrs and will end in May 2024.

CHDA in collaboration with DHET (KHETHA),FASSET and the Department of Education are hosting a Life Orientation educator seminar at Elliot High School, this initiative speaks to the mandate of the agency where skills development is one of its priority.
