ROYAL ACADEMY MAKES ITS MARK IN THE SCHOOLS MOOT COURT COMPETITION
Royal Academy is proud to celebrate its first journey in the National Schools Moot Court Competition.
Our journey began in May when the school attended a workshop and registered for the competition. During the June holidays, our learners prepared and submitted legal arguments for both the Applicants and Respondents.
Their hard work paid off when, in late July, Royal Academy received an invitation to represent the Chris Hani District at the Provincial Schools Moot Court Competition in August.
The competition gave our learners a valuable opportunity to turn research into action, present legal arguments through oral advocacy and experience what it is like to stand before provincial justices.
A huge congratulations to Imitha Mabutyana and Unako Tukushe for proudly flying both the Royal Academy and Chris Hani District flags.
We hope this achievement will inspire more learners, particularly those in Grades 8–10, to take up the baton in 2027 and build a lasting Moot Court legacy at Royal Academy.
