Southbourne Primary School Southbourne Primary, established in Queenstown, Eastern Cape in 1959, has been a pillar of holistic learning and community spirit for over 65 years.

Providing a high-quality English-medium education that ignites a passion for lifelong learning. Our school was opened on the 21st of January 1959 as a small preparatory school which only offered Grade 1 - 3. We are a Quintile 4, English medium school. In 2012 the school experience new growth and started expanding and adding grades. Today we have grades R - 7, a Remedial Department, Music Department, we offer a variety of cultural clubs, rugby, hockey, soccer, netball and golf we have all so included Coding and Robotics into our learners school curriculum.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our SGB Chairperson and a valued member of the Southbourne Primary School family.

Your dedication, kindness, service and commitment to our school community have left a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of knowing you. We are grateful for the time, care and support you gave to our school and for the meaningful difference you made in the lives of those around you.

Although your presence will be deeply missed, your legacy will continue to live on through the people you touched and the memories you leave behind. Your contribution to Southbourne Primary School will always be remembered and cherished.

With 450 words to learn, our girls took on the challenge and made it through two rounds, before being eliminated in the third. πŸ‘πŸ“–

Our Grade 6 learners put their creativity, Maths skills and problem-solving abilities to the test as they designed and built their very own 3D robots! πŸ€–βœ¨

Using materials such as cardboard and plastic bottles, each learner had to incorporate six different types of 3D objects into their robot designs. πŸ“¦πŸ”ΊπŸ”΅

The results were incredible! 🌟 From creative designs to clever construction, our Grade 6s showed off their imagination, teamwork and understanding of 3D shapes.
