🌟 Letterland Day Fun 🌟
Today was filled with colour, laughter, and so much excitement as we celebrated Letterland Day! 🎉📚
Our little ones were absolutely beaming in their costumes – and it was wonderful to see the joy as they spotted their friends dressed up as all sorts of favourite Letterland characters. We had a whole crew of firefighters 🚒, fluffy bunnies 🐇, our clever Clever Cat 🐱, sparkling Golden Girls ✨, the stripey Zigzag Zebra 🦓, an adorable baby giraffe 🦒, our dashing Harry Hat Man 🎩, the sweetest Annie Apple 🍎, and our quackingly cute Dippy Duck 🦆, who was super proud of her outfit! 💛
Thank you to all our parents for helping make this day so special – and for bringing these beloved Letterland friends to life. 🌸
Here’s to learning, laughter, and memories that last a lifetime! 💛

Seeing the World Through Our Own Eyes! 👀🎨
This week in Aunty Tammy’s Class, we explored the sense of sight as part of our Five Senses theme! Our little artists created their own unique eyes using cut paper for colorful irises and wool for lashes. The concentration they showed was amazing as they carefully put their pieces together, making sure their work was as neat and beautiful as possible! ✂️🖌️
Through this creative activity, we explored multiple ELDAs (Early Learning and Development Areas):
✨ Well-being – Practicing fine motor skills while handling small pieces and wool.
✨ Identity & Belonging – Creating eyes that represent themselves in their own unique way.
✨ Communication – Discussing different eye colors, shapes, and why sight is important.
✨ Creativity – Using different materials to bring their artwork to life.
Our eyes help us see the world, and we can see just how focused and talented our little learners are! 🌟👁️✨

Every masterpiece starts with a single brushstroke! Our Grade R learners painted their self-portraits, using a variety of colors and adding as much detail as they could.
Through this creative activity, they explored multiple ELDAs (Early Learning and Development Areas):
🎨 Well-being – Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
🖌 Identity & Belonging – Expressing self-awareness and individuality.
🌈 Communication – Using art as a form of expression and storytelling.
🤩 Creativity – Exploring colors, shapes, and details in their unique way.
Each portrait tells a story—just like every child! ✨

We were delighted to receive a visit from one of our former students yesterday. It is always motivating to see the significant progress they have made and how well they present themselves in their new school uniforms. 🌟🎉👏
