Today my heart genuinely warmed.
It’s only been three days since homework was introduced, and already my precious pumpkins are showing such beautiful growth in how they’re adjusting to the work.
Today, I intentionally stepped back a little. I wanted to see where they are in coping on their own — because truthfully, I groom my babies for independence. I want them to be able to carry out tasks and approach homework with confidence, even when they don’t have constant one-on-one attention. In a classroom of 30 or more children, that skill matters.
My core purpose in this is also to support teachers — to raise children who can try, who don’t immediately shut down, and who believe they are capable.
And today… my kids showed up.
Three days in.
Eager.
Excited.
So proud to show me that they can.
It honestly blew my mind.
I am so incredibly proud. 💛
