At Nebula College, Pretoria we firmly believe in the upliftment of community through various outreach programmes as we live out our core values of COMPASSION, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, COLLABORATION and RESILIENCE.

During this school term, our Grade 8 learners have been partnering with Alpha Care Unit (ACU), the community upliftment project of Alpha Security Forum to collect much needed items for people in need.

We invite our Nebula Families and Community to donate essentials such as non-perishable food, toiletries, sanitary products, clean clothing, blankets, baby products and basic school stationery which we will hand over to ACU on Wed. 23 September.

For more details and to make arrangements for collection or drop-off, visit https://www.alphasecurityforum.co.za/acu.html

Passing the baton (or, "where there's a worm, there's a way"):

MYP math tutor Ockert van der Schyf donated a worm farm to Nebula College, Pretoria. On Friday he trained two teams of primary learners to feed and water it.

But why a worm farm?

"The best way to convert organic kitchen waste into a power tonic for your plants and soil is to farm earth worms. Earthworms play a vital role in creating healthy, living soil, and gardeners need to incorporate them into our cultivation practices," according to https://www.thegardener.co.za/grow-to-eat/diy-food/earthworm-rescue/
