The Kunste Fabriek Orchestra
is a 40 piece youth symphony orchestra that originated in 2016
under conductor Loïs Boshoff and arts director Marleen Boshoff.

The aim of the project is to give children an orchestral experience from a
young age. The students are between 10 and 18 years of age, with musical
level from gr1 up to and beyond grade 8.

We are exited to share our stage with Guitarist Conrad Pienaar, with whom we
will play an evolution of Spanish music – Including the 1556 Carol ;Riu Riu Chiu from Cancionero de Upsala ,Cuando El rey Ni**od – which originated in the Judeo Spanish culture, and El Cascabel by Lorenzo Barcelata from the Mexican Mariachi style.

Conrad will also be performing in two original compositions by 17 year old orchestra member Nicola Swart, who has been composing for the orchestra from 2018.

3) Best recital (3 contrasting pieces) - shared award with another guitarist.
4) Best senior guitarist at the classical guitar Eisteddfod.
5) Overall winner of the Pretoria Classical Guitar Eisteddfod 2021!

Hi all. I am very excited about this.
We finally (due to a delay imposed by myself) completed recording the third and final movement of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in D Major arranged for violin and guitar by Claude Gagnon. I am so grateful for having had this experience of recording all three movements with a wonderful violinist like Evert van Niekerk whose character matches his formidable talent. This music moves me and I feel truly blessed.

This is the first movement of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in D Major arranged for Violin and Guitar. We included some imagery of Venice in the background as that is where Vivaldi was born and worked for most of his career. It is my hope that this would introduce some beauty in a time that is unpleasant for many.
