🌟 Celebrating South Africa’s Small Business Champions! 🌟

On 2 June 2026, Absa Business Banking, SACCI and BMR hosted the FY2025 Small Business Ambassador Awards, recognising the entrepreneurs and small businesses driving innovation, growth and leadership across South Africa’s MSME sector.

A total of 3 735 small businesses from all nine provinces participated in the Small Business Growth Index (SBGI) research, helping shape conversations around enterprise development and economic growth.

Award categories included:

Day 2 of the SAMRA Annual Conference featured an insightful presentation by Ms Zuzitka Janz and Prof Deon Tustin from BMR on how algorithms are reshaping consumer behaviour and the future of market research.

Congratulations to Ms Janz and Prof Tustin on receiving the Silver Award for their outstanding contribution.

Congratulations also to Dr Poalses-Twilley for her excellent role as MC, and to Dr Kembo for sharing valuable feedback on the important work of the SAMRA Census Team.
