Unisa AGRISETA embarked on a Questionnaire Research in the district /municipalities of Mpumalanga, Thulamahashe, Nkomazi-Mzinti, Nelspruit, Elukwatini and Witbank.
"Strengthening Smallholder Tomato Famers' Adaptation to Climate Change Impact in Pest Management, Weather Forecasting and Crop Planning in South Africa.
The role of Digital Tool's study conducted by the AgriSETA Research Chair under supervision of Prof. M.J Ngoepe Ntsoane, the Research Chair in the College of Human Science towards the completion of a research project report as part of a fulfillment of an agreement between UNISA and AgriSETA.
The research was conducted by Dr Tebogo Manenzhe, Miss Funeka Mzanzi and Mr Sfiso Mdluli.

On 26 November 2025, the UNISA AgriSETA Research Chair, led by Professor Ngoepe Ntsoane, in collaboration with Sedibeng TVET College, hosted the Wired for Wisdom conference at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria. This event formed part of the Science Forum South Africa (SFSA) under the theme “Building Africa’s Research Powerhouse.” The programme was expertly directed by Mr Lesley Musina, who ensured a dynamic and engaging flow throughout. Prof ZZ Nkosi, the Executive Dean of the College of Human Sciences, welcomed attendees and commended the Research Chair for creating a platform that fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange. She emphasized the importance of universities partnering with communities to address pressing social challenges.
