Hatfield Montessori Preschool

Hatfield Montessori Preschool A Preschool situated in Hatfield Pretoria which aims to provide quality education according to Montessori Principles.

We aim to give all our students the best possible start in life and that means inspiring them with our teaching to progress and learn every single day they are with us. In our school we focus on understanding what motivates young people to learn and share their knowledge. We fashion our learning environments to promote a need to know and a need to share. This is a natural and modern extension of Montessori's basic principal - to sustain learning situations that require young people to discover how to do things. All our staff members are Montessori trained and have many years experience with children. We pride ourselves in our homely environment and our personal one on one interaction with each child. We carry the SAMA (South African Montessori Association) accreditation.

Saturday's Family Day at the Fortis Collective's Activity Day went well - lots of interaction and fun for all. Also lovely to meet up with a long ago past pupil and her two children and three more recent past pupils. Fun for young and old.

Just as a rainbow shines because it is made up of many beautiful colours, our nation is enriched by many cultures, languages, traditions and stories. Together, our diversity makes our heritage something to celebrate with pride and joy.

By engaging in activities such as the Pink Tower and Broad stairs, children develop their cognitive abilities and gain an understanding of the world around them. Once the basic use is mastered Montessori educators believe that further sensory exploration (e.g. combining different sets) plays a crucial role in a childā€™s overall development, as it helps them to build a strong foundation for future learning.

Kite Day 2026 was a day of good wind carrying the kites high above the Magaliesberg mountain and lots of family fun. Thank you to all who braved climbing the mountain and those who visited at Fig Tree House. It was lovely to have 14 past pupils join for the occasion along with current pupils and friends. All in all, a very special day
