Our Afrikaans Department continues to grow, learn and stay inspired! 💚

We are proud of Mev. Scott and Mev. Breed, who attended the Lenteseminaar hosted by the University of Pretoria.

The seminar provided a wonderful opportunity to gain new knowledge, explore fresh ideas and deepen their understanding of Afrikaans language and literature. 📖✨

Even more special was the opportunity to meet and engage with some of South Africa’s renowned authors, making the experience truly memorable! 🇿🇦✍️

Our Grade 10 Dance Department students definitely started the new season on the right note this morning — bringing colour, flair and plenty of Olé! to the dance floor! 💃🏻🌸

🔬🫁 GRADE 11 LIFE SCIENCES PRACTICAL 🫀🧬

Learning comes alive at Pro Arte Alphen Park! Our Grade 11 Life Sciences learners recently got hands-on experience during a practical investigation involving the dissection of sheep kidneys and cow lungs. 🐑🫁

The lungs and kidneys are important excretory organs, helping the body remove metabolic waste and maintain balance.

Through this practical, learners had the opportunity to explore the structure and function of these organs up close, connecting what they learn in the classroom with real-world biological systems.

✨ Science is best experienced, not just studied!

We recently had the honour of welcoming representatives from the Gauteng Department of Education and Limpopo Department of Education to Pro Arte Alphen Park.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our school, our unique offering and the work we do as a School of Specialisation. 🎭🎨🎶

As Limpopo explores the development of its own School of Specialisation, we were proud to share our experiences, practices and vision, and to contribute to the growth of specialised education.

🍽️ Grade 12 Hospitality Final Practical Examination👩‍🍳✨

Last Friday, our Grade 12 Hospitality learners put their skills, creativity and professionalism to the test during their Final Practical Examination.

From preparation and presentation to service and attention to detail, our learners showcased the knowledge and practical skills they have developed throughout their Hospitality studies.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and confidence they displayed on the day. 🌟

🔬 GRADE 10 PHYSICAL SCIENCES | HEATING & COOLING CURVES OF WATER🌡️

Science comes to life when learners get to investigate it for themselves! 🧪

Our Grade 10 Physical Sciences learners conducted a practical investigation into the heating and cooling curves of water. The aim was to observe how the temperature of water changes over time as crushed ice is heated until it boils, and how the temperature changes as hot water cools

Through this practical, learners were able to observe temperature changes, collect and interpret data, and connect their observations to the changes of state of water. 📈🌡️

A great opportunity for our learners to turn theory into hands-on scientific investigation! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

📚 Investing in Our Grade 12s! 📚

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Smit and Mr Makgatholela for arranging for our Grade 12 Mathematics and Science learners to attend the EduCate Revision Sessions over the past month, with a few more sessions still to come.

These weekend revision sessions provide our learners with valuable additional support, focused revision and the opportunity to strengthen their understanding as they prepare for their final examinations. 👏📖

We truly appreciate the commitment and effort that goes into creating these opportunities for our learners. Thank you for helping our Matrics make every learning opportunity count! 💙
