🥞📚 Wanneer dit reën op Rietfontein…

Today, our Grade 8 Afrikaans FAL classroom came alive with the sights, sounds and smells of tradisie! 🇿🇦❤️

As part of our project for Afrikaans FAL, we did the poem from Eugene N. Marais’ Wanneer dit reën op Rietfontein, we stepped out of the textbook and into the world of Oom Gysbert, Tant Malie, die groot kombuis… en natuurlik pannekoek! 🥞

We explored the poem not only through words, but through experience- mixing, baking, tasting, laughing and creating memories together.

Because sometimes the best way to understand a poem is to bring it to life. ✨

A little Afrikaans, a little history, a lot of learning… and plenty of pannekoek! 🥞🤎

Arrow Entrepreneurs in Action!

What a fantastic Entrepreneurs Day at Arrow Academy! Our Grade 7 entrepreneurs brought their A-game as they showcased their creativity, business skills and BIG ideas!

From exciting stalls to delicious treats, our learners had an absolute blast buying, selling, supporting and having fun!

We are so proud of our young entrepreneurs for stepping up, thinking outside the box and showing us that big dreams can start small!

Well done, Grade 7! You certainly made Entrepreneurs’ Day one to remember!

Arrow Academy was at the World Robot Olympiad 2026!

We are incredibly proud of Teacher Hope, who had the exciting opportunity to serve as a judge at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2026 in Gauteng!

The World Robot Olympiad is a global robotics competition that brings young people together to design, build and program robots, while developing important skills in STEM, creativity, engineering, teamwork and problem-solving. WRO competitions take place across more than 95 countries, giving young innovators the opportunity to put their skills to the test on a global platform. (WROSA)
The 2026 theme, “Robots Meet Culture,” challenges learners to explore how robotics and technology can help shape, protect and celebrate art and culture. (WRO Association)
