But you may still be missing a nationally recognised OHS qualification.

🔥 WHAT IS RPL?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that assesses the knowledge, skills, workplace experience and learning you have already gained against the requirements of a qualification.
Instead of assuming that you have to start from the beginning, we look at what you already know and what you can demonstrate.

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU!
If you hold a SHAMTRC certificate/card and have relevant workplace experience, your previous learning and experience may provide valuable evidence for an RPL assessment.
Your SHAMTRC training does not automatically mean that you have the OHS NQF Level 5 qualification. However, it may form part of the evidence considered during the RPL process, together with your workplace experience and other relevant learning.

📋 HOW DOES THE RPL PROCESS WORK?
1️⃣ APPLY
Submit your RPL application and supporting documentation.
2️⃣ EVIDENCE & GAP ASSESSMENT
We review your previous learning, SHAMTRC training, workplace experience and available evidence against the qualification requirements.
3️⃣ RPL ASSESSMENT
Your knowledge and competence are assessed using appropriate evidence and assessment methods.
4️⃣ GAP CLOSURE
Where gaps are identified, you may be required to complete additional learning, provide further evidence or undergo additional assessment.
5️⃣ OUTCOME
Based on the assessment outcome, you may receive recognition for the competencies you have demonstrated, subject to the applicable RPL and qualification requirements.
