Trust you are well, that the weekend has been good and we are ready to tackle the week ahead.

This morning as l listened to a sermon on one of my fav radio station: Impact. l was reminded of what l read some time back from a book ~ Jesus Life Coach by Laurie Beth Jones: Interesting chapter > Have Your Tent Stolen, l read it again. We will share some other day.

What l would like us to keep in mind as we embark on a new week is what she also tackled in this book: Keep Your Focus. How often we get distracted and are not achieving or completing the goals or tasks set before us. These pile up and we find ourselves with too much on our plate bese sishaya ubuwaqawaqa just to get through the pile.

Do not rob yourself of dopamine: a neurotransmitter often referred to as the “chemical of reward.” When you score a goal, hit a target, or accomplish a task, you receive a pleasurable hit of dopamine in your brain that tells you you’ve done a good job. Lets focus and complete those tasks - free 💊 natural pill

We have napped a bit and the books/laptop are now packed back into their place: allow me to reflect in your hearing…

I am grateful to God my Father for choosing and allowing a lowly vessel like me to represent Him that He may be glorified and His people His children may be edified at Germiston and Boksburg South SDA church

As an Edupreneur and God’s Dynamite you are called daily and you heed the call there is no ‘rest’

Prepare young people for career choice and pursuit ~ Ready.

Help them to be clear about the target ~ Aim.

Lessons Learnt: do not rob God’s people and yourself!!! I spoke at two places in one day and did not allow for full engagement with the audience. No more double booking!!!

When the invite has been given ensure:

… to first worship with the audience you will be ministering to before the day of your presentation. You are informed of your surroundings and the needs of your audience. [old habit that has been niglected!]

…to request adequate time morning and afternoon on Sabbath or Sunday full day if not possible do not accept the invite!

Listen to your instincts (as my cousin would say: ‘the nudges/impressions of the Holy Spirit) – I brought stickers for name tags at Boks as I am horrible with people’s names and I try to get people engaged by speaking to them directly. It is lovely to be address by your name 😍

Bring Your Love and Work Together

“Do all your work in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14 GNT).

The apostle Paul says, “Do all your work in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14 GNT).

He doesn’t say some of your work but all of your work. He also says that “no matter . . . what I do, I’m bankrupt without love” (1 Corinthians 13:3 The Message).

The point is that any job can be turned into worship when it is built on the foundation of Christ’s love. When that happens, his love is expressed through you to co-workers, clients, and customers. Mother Teresa said, “It’s not what you do so much that matters, but how much love you put into it.”

Think about it like this: Two-thirds of the word “career” is C-A-R-E. The English philanthropist John Ruskin once said, “When love and skill come together, expect a masterpiece.”

So I want you to pray a prayer every day this week—whether it’s at home or at school, in your backyard or your neighborhood, or wherever you work. I want you to pray, “Father, today I want to worship you through my work. I want to express my gifts. I want to do it as if I’m doing it for you, and I want to do it in love.”

“So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer” (Romans 12:1 GNT).

It is a privilege and an honour to be in a group who have been selected to be part a pilot program for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Career Development Practitioners (CDPs) in South Africa.

Meeting my colleagues and working through the competencies for CDPs and the way forward was rewarding. This will ensure that the people of this country receive quality career information.

Chapter 15—Business Principles and Methods

“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely.”

There is no branch of legitimate business for which the Bible does not afford an essential preparation. Its principles of diligence, honesty, thrift, temperance, and purity are the secret of true success. These principles, as set forth in the book of Proverbs, constitute a treasury of practical wisdom. Where can the merchant, the artisan, the director of men in any department of business, fnd better maxims for himself or for his employees than are found in these words of the wise man:

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29.

That which lies at the foundation of business integrity and of true success is the recognition of God’s ownership. The Creator of all things, He is the original proprietor. We are His stewards. All that we have is a trust from Him, to be used according to His direction.

2 Chronicles 7:14 "If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land". 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Part of my devotion this morning reminded me to Thank God for the ability to do all things that He has assigned me to do.

"God has an assignment for our lives. He has given us the ability to do all the things that we need to do to fulfill the plans that He has for us."

Couldn't help but revist Matthew 25 with emphasis on verse15 "And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each ACCORDING TO HIS OWN ABILITY; and immediately he went on a journey."

I also noted verse 25 "And I was AFRAID, and went and HID your talent in the ground." 🙈😢

Let us pray and thank God for the abilities given to us and use them optimaly for the upliftment of humanity and the Glory of God 🙏

Should you not know or haven't DISCOVERED your abilities please lose yourself in the service of others and pray for God's leading 🙏

And YOU who has discovered your ability/talent but are fearful to use or you limit yourself please remember that fear is not you portion!!!
