Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

The other day I had a call with a good friend to help him out with his new training program business.

The guy is a real beast: He accomplished life feats that most of us can't even begin to comprehend.

But during our call, he said something that stuck with me...

He said: "I've never been in sales so I'm not good at it, you know".

WRONG.

Why, may you ask?

My Response: Because we've all been in sales since the very day we were born.

Think about it for a moment:

You sell someone on going on a date with you
You sell that new restaurant to your friends so you can go and eat there
You sell your skills to get hired by your employer
You sell your performance to your boss to get a raise
Do you see where I'm going with this?

Do you understand now why I say you've always been in sales?

Which brings me to my next point...

Your thoughts shape your reality.

And this is not some woo-woo crap, it's the actual truth.

So if you talk to yourself in a negative way and say stuff like "I'm not good at sales", guess what...

You won't become good at sales.

However, if you talk positively to yourself, you'll inevitably succeed.

And you don't need to be delusional about it... you can be realistic.

You can say: "I'm not that good at sales right now, but I'll apply myself and in two month's time I'll be amazing!"

And like magic, two months from now the improvement will be tangible.

How you talk to yourself matters.

Only talk to yourself in a positive way.

The Art of Sales

The struggle may be inevitable, but the way you frame your business challenges is completely up to you, and may be the very thing that helps you succeed.

Start a small hustle create your own job while your waiting for the job that you studied for. Don't be that unemployed graduate looking for sympathy.

Do something about your life try and fail. You can't be watching the repeat of Generations and Clientèle adverts while your 60 year old mother goes to work to feed you. Take that knowledge you got from varsity make something out of it.

Especially the guys there's no place for sympathy in this world wake up and do something no one said it will be easy anyway

There are some things that you’re just finished with! So stop turning around and looking back. There are some bridges that you should never cross again. Be real...you simply can't put humpty dumpty together again. Your past should be just that...your past. Whatever you earned or learned, loved or lost, bought or sold...it can never be the same...that time is gone forever. Embrace the pain of letting go of that which is not good for you. Step into it...you're stronger than the pain. You can survive, and you will thrive again. Get off of the emotional roller coaster, and take back your mind. Stop the rewind button, and use the memories from your past to build a better life. People and situations show us parts of ourselves that we could never ever see by ourselves. Seek the wisdom, learn the lesson, and move on.

Many times, before a promise comes to pass, you have to go through a season of silence where you don’t see anything changing. You’ll think, “Is what I’m doing working? Is my believing, my giving, my praying even making a difference?” This is when many people get discouraged and give up on what they’re believing for. But just because you don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean God is not working. Behind the scenes, things are changing that you can’t see.

You are the only one who can do it like you do it. You are the best. You have what it takes. You have the power. When you put your mind to something, you get it done. So what are you waiting for?

Keeping things inside does not make them any better. In fact, holding on to secret fears makes them seem a lot worse than they probably are. When you keep things on the inside, the weight of it all can hold you down.
